American Cotton Products exists for one reason: to make the core cotton rags and towels industrial buyers reorder — and make them better, price them fairly, and take care of the buyer.

We manufacture industrial cotton rags and towels here in East Tennessee and supply the industrial supply houses within about 100 miles of Knoxville — the same core products their customers order over and over again.
For years the company grew almost entirely by word of mouth. That built real product-market proof, but it also meant most supply houses in the region simply don't know we exist — and keep buying the same rags from large out-of-state companies. This site is here to fix that.
Leonard has spent 50 years in the industrial rag business. In 1996 he built and sold a rag company to one of the largest in the country, then stayed on as its sales manager. Working inside a big operation, he grew dissatisfied with the quality of the products customers received and the prices they were charged.
American Cotton Products is his answer to that. Instead of chasing a giant catalog, focus on the products customers actually need and reorder. Make them better and more consistent. Price them fairly. And be the kind of supplier a buyer can pick up the phone and reach.
"I have 50 years of experience in this industry. I know how to make customers happy."
It's a small, deliberate operation — a lean team and a tight product range — and that's the point. It keeps the quality consistent and the prices honest.
The catalog once ran past a hundred products. Experience showed which ones companies actually use — so Leonard cut it to roughly twenty. That focus isn't a limitation; it's why the core products stay consistent and in stock instead of spread thin across a catalog nobody orders from.
We're not a general cleaning-supply company, and we won't pretend to be a national catalog. No mops, sponges, or unrelated accessories bolted on to look bigger. Just the rags and towels your customers reorder — done well.

The easiest first step is a few samples and distributor pricing. Or just call — Leonard would rather talk product mix, quantities, and delivery directly than send you through a form.
